We had a great Saturday morning for the grand reopening of The South of the James Market in the Forest Hill Park. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces that have not been seen in months. Roberta and I realize we miss the markets over the winter and after Saturday morning we also realize setting up and breaking down is something we don't miss especially when getting home at midnight from First Friday's art walk at Quirk Gallery and having to get up at 5 for SoJ. Tomorrow is the opening for The Market Emporium at Bryan park in Lakeside 3-7. Farmer/growers will be there with greens and young plants ready to be put in the ground.

Big maple 24x14x3 $120. This piece has it all. A smidgen of spalting, crotch waves, fiddle back, burl and knots.
